- No prerequisites… but:
- If you would like to complete this workshop asynchronously, you will need to install Python and GeoPandas on your personal computer. I highly recommend first installing the Anaconda Python distribution, then, from a command terminal, install GeoPandas by typing ‘conda install geopandas’. More info.

Goal of this Workshops
The purpose of this workshop is to introduce you to the wonderful world of GeoPandas. GeoPandas is an open source Python package for use with vector data. This workshop does not replace formal GIS coursework, but will help you get started on basic GIS projects using GeoPandas.
